vitamin B

A vibrant community

vitamin B promotes a solidarity-based and democratic Switzerland that strengthens society by providing direct, easily accessible support to and raising awareness of associations. This process sees us experiment and develop with our environment.

Over the past 22 years, Migros Culture Percentage has provided the vitamin B competence center with strategic, financial, and operational assistance. vitamin B has been an association since November 2022. The Migros Culture Percentage sees itself as a facilitator and driving force here. With the set-up and consolidation phase complete, the Migros Culture Percentage is providing financial support and ad-hoc advice to vitamin B until the end of 2024 as it transitions into an independent structure.

Service for associations

In Switzerland, there are about 100,000 associations. They all make significant contributions to society, encourage social relations and work for the benefit of others. They promote quality of life in our society and serve as schools for democracy.

Services

With numerous respective services available in the English-speaking world, vitamin B primarily focuses on German-speaking Switzerland. Our English website provides an overview of the various offers and activities existing in Switzerland.

The services offered by vitamin B are available to all non-profit associations and other organisations working for the democratic and collaborative development of our society. vitamin B services are not available to associations and other organisations promoting racism, gender discrimination or any other forms of discrimination.

A legal right to the services offered by vitamin B does not exist.

Migros Culture Percentage

The Migros Culture Percentage supports cultural and social initiatives and unlocks a wide range of opportunities for a broad section of the population. Alongside traditional programmes it specifically highlights visionary social ventures. The Migros Culture Percentage also includes the Migros Club School, the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute, the Migros Museum of Contemporary Art, the four «im Grünen» parks and the Monte Generoso rack railway. In all, the Migros Culture Percentage invests over 140 million francs each year.
