About us

vitamin B has been providing board members in the voluntary sector with useful information, individual advice and further training since 2000.

With numerous respective services available in the English-speaking world, vitamin B primarily focuses on German-speaking Switzerland.

We have set up this service page, which includes some current English-language services for associations in Switzerland, with the aim of sharing our experiences with English-speaking associations. 

Publications

In our multi-option society, traditional volunteer work is becoming increasingly unpopular. The study ‘The new volunteers’, commissioned by the Migros Culture Percentage, formulates a framework for the civic engagement of the future. The study shows that those who volunteer in future will want:

  • To get involved quickly in specific projects
  • To no longer simply provide free labour, but contribute ideas and have their say
  • To deal with and develop projects non-hierarchically
