Election as a whole
Electing the executive committee as a whole, i.e. multiple persons simultaneously, should be used very sparingly and only in completely uncontested elections. For example, it can be combined with election by acclamation during the re-election of an established executive committee to show that the election is truly uncontested.
If election as a whole is proposed, it is still possible to require that persons are elected individually via a point of order. However, some members might be apprehensive about initiating a point of order because they do not want to be viewed as mistrustful. Counting favourable individual votes can also show esteem. Under no circumstances may election as a whole be used to prevent controversial candidates from being challenged.
