Right to vote
The right to vote is an important right held by members of an association. The election of committee members allows all members to have some influence on the management of the association.
The term active suffrage refers to the right to participate in elections by voting.
The term passive suffrage refers to the right of a person to establish him/herself as a candidate and to be elected (eligibility).
