Mountains and spaghetti
Working in the executive committee is fun
It is not by chance that the women of the SAC Baldern executive committee compare their committee to a rope team. Almost every week the association offers guided mountain tours or hiking trips as well as ski touring trips and touring weeks in winter.
The committee consists of six women, all experienced mountaineers and tour guides. They meet 4–6 times a year in committee meetings for planning sessions and committee work. Each committee member has been assigned a specific area of responsibility within the association.
They also meet regularly for lunch on the Uetliberg Mountain. Or spontaneously for a small tour just for fun. Or they have a spaghetti party together. “Socialising is important to us; we try to foster a sense of belonging and cooperation.”
