Committee work with room for local initiatives

The young women of Walk-in-Closet run their association without unnecessary bureaucracy. For them, it is important to leave room for local initiatives.

That’s why they support independent organisers to set up fashion exchanges for clothes, shoes and accessories in 15 cities across Switzerland.

“Our events take place at locations frequented by younger crowds,” explain the committee members Fabienne, Pia and Nora, “for example at the Kaserne in Basel, in clubs or in the foyer of the Zurich Schauspielhaus. Usually there are DJs performing, sometimes there is a small fashion show or a studio where clothing is upgraded or T-shirts are printed.”

The fashion exchange events are very successful and draw a lot of visitors.
